Subsea Inspection

SEA360 offers a full suite of subsea inspection services designed to provide reliable, high-resolution monitoring and assessment of underwater assets.

Our advanced AUV technology allows us to conduct precise, efficient inspections across a range of applications, from cable and pipeline monitoring to infrastructure assessment and archaeological surveys.

Each service is tailored to meet specific project needs, ensuring thorough data collection and analysis to support the safety, longevity, and sustainable management of subsea resources.

Our Services include:

Route Planning Surveys

SEA360 offers precise AUV-based cable and pipeline route surveys that map optimal subsea paths for infrastructure projects.

Using advanced geophysical sensors, our AUVs gather high-resolution seabed data to identify potential hazards and environmental features, supporting safe, efficient, and sustainable route planning.

By conducting detailed pre-lay surveys, we assess seabed conditions to ensure successful, durable installations, helping clients make informed decisions and enhance the longevity and performance of offshore wind and subsea infrastructure projects.

Cable and Pipeline Inspection

SEA360’s Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) inspections offer precise, high-resolution monitoring of subsea cables and pipelines, delivering a more efficient and cost-effective alternative to traditional ROV-based methods. Our AUVs, equipped with side-scan sonar and advanced onboard systems, conduct thorough inspections across extensive distances, providing early detection of issues like cable free-span or debris accumulation.

Unlike ROVs, which rely on continuous tethering and a surface vessel for power and control, AUVs operate autonomously and are optimized for covering long, linear distances near the seafloor. This autonomy allows AUVs to inspect subsea assets faster and with reduced surface support, translating to significant savings in both operational costs and time. Additionally, their ability to maintain a steady altitude near the seabed ensures high-quality data capture and reduces environmental disturbance, helping to safeguard subsea infrastructure more sustainably and proactively.

Subsea Infrastructure Inspection

SEA360 offers AUV-based inspections for comprehensive, high-resolution monitoring of subsea infrastructure. Our AUVs, equipped with advanced sonar and imaging systems, provide thorough inspections of underwater assets such as pipelines, cables, foundations, electrical hubs, wellheads, mooring lines, risers, and subsea manifolds. By delivering detailed data on structural integrity and potential issues, our AUVs enable early detection of risks, reduce downtime, and extend the lifespan of these critical assets. Autonomous and efficient, AUVs minimize operational costs while ensuring thorough coverage even in hard-to-reach areas, supporting the long-term safety and reliability of subsea infrastructure.

Archeological Surveys

SEA360 provides specialized AUV-based marine archaeological surveys to accurately detect, identify, and map underwater cultural heritage sites. Our AUVs deliver precise data allowing both the detection and identification of wrecks, artifacts, and other submerged anomalies in one path.

This capability enables us to distinguish between natural seabed features and significant cultural assets, ensuring reliable documentation and aiding in the preservation of these sites.

Operating autonomously, our AUVs reduce environmental impact and deliver extensive data coverage, making them well-suited for delicate heritage and patrimonial surveys.
